I’ve had several people in the last week send me a message or approach asking the same question, so I thought it might be a good blog topic 😉

The question (in general) is: “I have been trying to slim down/lose weight during the past couple of months.  I eat healthy and workout, but I’m still not seeing results.  What can I do?”

I know that each person is different in terms of how their body responds, how they view ‘eating healthy’, etc.  BUT I have found that there are 3 MAIN things that can make a big difference for someone who maintains a healthy lifestyle, but isn’t seeing results they want.  I usually ask the person these 3 questions right off the bat, and 1 or 2 of them pinpoints the area they can clean up to start succeeding in their fitness endeavors:

  1. What if a person isnt trying to lose weight, but gain? I dont work out persay but i do a good bit of heavy lifting and moving around. I have a small farm. When i work out i lose so much weight i look too thin. I am 40 years old, 5’5″ tall and weigh 118 lbs.(still a size 0-2) id like to be thicker but fit. I have a low appetite. I do take a women’s multivitamin every morning though.


    1. Hi Amanda! Have you considered using a protein powder? One of the fastest ways to lose weight is to eliminate drinking calories. Meaning, drinking calories is one of the best ways to gain weight. I would recommend adding a powder to your water or milk that you normally drink!
