This R8 by Roll Recovery is the most amazing tool! I’ve had it 4days and used it daily. It’s like a deep tissue massage 💆 💖 that I can control and really focus on the specific Areas I want to.
My calves are so tight from running & it actually contributes to plantar fasciitis when I start doing marathon training mileage. It costs $119 (I got it with their Christmas discount – 10% off). And I believe it’s worth it. It digs in more than a foam roller, and is less effort for me than using a roller. I can actually use this one just sitting at my desk or on the couch.
Great invention & tool to have. The most effective types of massage for runners are A.R.T. , deep tissue, & trigger point. The R8 covers all of these.
It’s also really important to drink lots of water 💦 when utilizing this. I find it actually makes me thirsty. I drink about 1.5-2gallons of water a day to help flush out the toxins that the muscles release when they are massaged.
